Queen Ifrica has entered a new chapter with the release of her fourth studio album, Breath Of Life, released on August 14, 2026 via Nuh Rush Records and distributed through Tuff Gong International. The album arrived within the eligibility window for the 2027 Grammy Awards, making it eligible for consideration during this year’s Grammy submission cycle.

The Recording Academy’s official 2027 Grammy schedule set the submission period from July 7 through August 21, 2026, covering recordings released during the August 31, 2025–August 28, 2026 eligibility period. The 2027 Grammy Awards are scheduled for February 7, 2027.

At the heart of the new album is “Lanton (Lantem),” one of the project’s previously released singles and a track that helped introduce the Breath Of Life era earlier this year.

Released in March, “Lanton” was produced by Junior Brown, aka IAmNuhRush, for Nuh Rush Records and distributed worldwide by Tuff Gong International. Built around a modern roots reggae groove, the song uses the image of a lantern as a symbol of light and guidance through difficult moments.

The track later became part of the album, where it appears as the closing song — track 13.

Breath Of Life marks Queen Ifrica’s fourth studio album and her first studio project in almost a decade. The album brings together production from Junior Brown and multiple-Grammy winner Stephen “Ragga” Marley, who produced the title track.

With “Lanton” establishing the album’s message of finding light in darkness and Breath Of Life expanding that vision across 13 tracks, Queen Ifrica’s latest project arrives at an important point in her career.

For the 2027 Grammy season, the album falls within the official eligibility period. Whether it ultimately appears among the Grammy nominees will be determined through the Recording Academy’s submission, screening and voting process. First-round voting is scheduled for October 12–22, with the 2027 nominees due to be announced on November 16, 2026.

For now, Breath Of Life stands as Queen Ifrica’s latest statement, with “Lanton” continuing to carry its message of light, resilience and conscious reggae forward.
