Junior Kelly Releases New Album Care About Me

Jamaican reggae artist Junior Kelly is back with a new album, Care About Me, out now. The 10-track project brings together conscious reggae, personal themes and social reflection, with several collaborations adding different voices to the album.

Known for his distinctive vocal style and conscious approach to reggae, Junior Kelly uses Care About Me to address subjects ranging from wisdom and social inequality to love, resilience and the future of the younger generation.

The album opens with “Biginning Of Wisdom” and moves through tracks including “Take From The Poor” featuring Jah Eyes, “Hurt So Bad,” “Powerful” featuring Aimann Raad and “Make You Happy.”

Junior Kelly also connects with other artists across the project. Blessed appears on “Children Are The Future,” while Ras Kuda joins him on “Relax.” The title track, “Care About Me,” sits at the centre of the album before the closing songs “Mi Chalice” and “That Empress.”

Rather than focusing on one subject, the album moves between personal experiences and wider social concerns, keeping Junior Kelly’s songwriting at the centre of the project.

The release also arrives during a busy period for reggae, with artists across Jamaica, Africa and the international scene bringing new music to audiences worldwide this October.
